What to Expect A beginner-friendly out-and-back trail with minimal elevation gain, shaded forest scenery, and a waterfall finish. The trail is well-maintained with some loose rocks and a shallow water crossing near the falls, wet feet are possible, totally worth it.

What to Bring

  • 2L of water

  • Hiking shoes with good grip (waterproof if you have them)

  • Light layers

  • Sun protection

  • Snacks

Good to Know

  • Parking fills fast, carpool is strongly encouraged

  • Parking fee: $10/day OR annual Uinta-Wasatch-Cache or America the Beautiful Pass

  • No dogs allowed in Big Cottonwood Canyon
