Little Rock Canyon Summit is a short but punchy climb that doesn't let up, loose rock, steep sections, and a bit of route-finding keep you focused the whole way up. And then you hit the top, and it's worth every step.

This one's for the hiker who's ready to push a little harder. Come prepared to move with intention, earn your summit, and descend with that specific kind of tired that only a hard trail can give you.

What to Expect

  • Hard-rated | 2.1 miles out & back | 1,318 ft elevation gain

  • Rocky, rugged terrain with loose rock and steep scrambling

  • Some route-finding required — stay alert and have fun with it

  • Big payoff views at the top

What to Bring

  • Plenty of water + snacks

  • Grippy hiking shoes (trail runners or boots)

  • Sun protection + light layer

  • Electrolytes optional but recommended

  • Small backpack

Good to Know

  • Parking: street parking in the neighborhood at the trailhead (free)

  • Dogs welcome if they're comfortable scrambling over rocks

  • Best for hikers comfortable with elevation gain and light scrambling
