Hidden just outside the city, Neff's Canyon is the kind of trail that makes you feel like you actually earned something.
This out-and-back route climbs 3,562 feet over 7.3 miles through a shaded canyon, past a babbling creek, through aspen groves and Gambel oak, and all the way up to Wildcat Ridge. It's stunning in every season, wildflowers and wildlife in summer, jaw-dropping fall foliage, and a legitimate snowshoe adventure in winter.
This one's for the women who are ready to level up. It's hard, and worth every step.
