June 17 l Meet at 6:00 PM
Chase the sunset from one of Utah County's best-kept overlooks.
This is a steady climb, 3.6 miles, 918 ft of gain, on natural dirt trail with rocky sections and an exposed ridgeline that opens up to sweeping views over Utah Valley. We'll start at 6:00 PM and time our arrival at the overlook with golden hour. Worth every step.
What to expect:
Steady uphill on dirt and rocky trail
Open ridgeline with strong sun and wind exposure, limited shade
Wide, panoramic views once you hit the top
Estimated 2.5–3 hours total
What to bring:
Water (plenty, it's exposed and warm)
Trail shoes or hiking boots
Light layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat
Snacks
Good to know:
Parking at North Fork Trailhead requires a fee or pass ($6–$10/day per car)
Dogs welcome on leash
This is a moderate hike, a good fitness base is recommended
Weather can shift quickly on the exposed ridge; check conditions before you come
Group size: Capped at 7… small and intentional, as always
