South Deul Creek Trail — Evening Canyon Hike

Creek crossings. A rope swing. A waterfall at the end. This one's got it all and we're doing it at 5:30 PM when the canyon is shaded and the light is chef's kiss.

South Deul Creek Trail winds through a creekside canyon in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, with the sound of water the entire way. Expect a few creek crossings, a well-loved rope swing at the halfway point, and a waterfall turnaround that makes the whole thing feel worth it.

What to Bring

• Swimsuit + small towel if you want to take a dip at the rope swing

Good to Know

• 🐾 Dog friendly!

• 🅿️ Free parking at the trailhead (moderate lot, should be fine on a weekday evening)

• 🚗 The final road section to the trailhead is potholed and bumpy. Passenger cars are fine, just take it slow.
