⏰ Start Time: 8:30 AM
πŸ“ Meeting Point: Grove Creek Canyon Trailhead, Pleasant Grove (GPS link sent before the hike)
πŸ₯Ύ Distance: ~3.5–4 miles | 1,100–1,300 ft elevation gain
⚑ Difficulty: Hard
πŸ‘₯ Group Size: 7 participants

A shaded canyon climb through the Wasatch foothills, ending at a quiet waterfall tucked in the trees. This is the kind of hike that feels like a secret. πŸŒ²πŸ’§

We're heading into Grove Creek Canyon in Pleasant Grove for a steep forest hike on rocky, rooty terrain β€” the good kind that keeps you focused and makes the waterfall feel earned. We'll stop at the falls, soak it in, and head back down. The AllTrails link shows longer mileage, but we're not going all the way β€” just to the waterfall and back.

What to Expect
Steep from the start with a steady uphill climb through shaded forest. Dirt trail with rocks, tree roots, and some muddy creek crossings β€” footing requires attention, especially near the falls where rocks get slippery. The canopy keeps it cool and the payoff is a waterfall that's worth every step. Tiff has personally hiked this trail and conditions are currently perfect.

What to Bring

  • Water

  • Trail shoes with good grip (roots + slippery rocks near the falls)

  • Light layers for the shaded climb

  • Sunscreen + hat

  • Snack

Parking: Grove Creek Canyon Trailhead β€” parking gets full, so arrive on time or a few minutes early. Free, no permit required.

Dogs: Welcome on this one! 🐾
