📍 Wind Cave Trailhead, Logan Canyon
🥾 3.7 miles out & back | 1,013 ft gain | Moderate
🐾 Dog-friendly (on leash)
There's a spot up in Logan Canyon where the wind carved right through the rock, and the view from inside? Unreal.
We're heading up Wind Cave Trail on a Saturday morning for good views, good company, and a little bit of a burn on the way up. The trail winds uphill with limited shade, so we're starting early and soaking it all in before the heat hits.
What to expect:
Steady uphill climb with switchbacks up to the cave
Stunning views of Logan Canyon framed by wind-carved rock
2–2.5 hours on trail, mostly exposed, sunscreen is your best friend
Supportive group pace, no one gets left behind
What to bring:
Water (at least 2L, it's sunny and uphill)
Snacks
Sunscreen + layers
Trail-appropriate footwear
Logistics:
Free parking at the trailhead or across the street at Guinavah-Malibu Campground — spaces are limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged
Dogs welcome on leash
No permit or fee required
This hike is open to women of all paces. Whether this is your first time on the trail or your tenth, you'll be in good company.
